I found a new baby

Wow, I have neglected my blog. It's been almost a year since I've written anything. The good news is that I haven't neglected my ukes. I think that I will post about the last year one event at a time instead of trying to catch up all in one entry.

I found, bought and have been playing a new fancy ukulele. It was a splurge but it is amazing. It's a dobrolele! I found it at Prussin Music in Kits and went back to strum and drool many times before Dave finally encouraged me to buy it. It has this amazing bark to it that makes it sound so different from all my other ukes. It is super loud and not especially apartment friendly but with nice, understanding neighbours it seems to be working out so far.

No doubt that it looks as good as it sounds. My only problem is that I don't want to take it out because I'm so worried that something will happen to it. I suppose that is the thing about buying something brand new. The time it gets scratched or dinged will be a very bad day. The good news is that 6 months into owning, admiring, and most importantly playing my dobrolele it still has yet to get a mark on it.

Signing out for now.
